Coca Cola kept the highest position in the list for 13 years from 2000 to 2013.

After that the first place was taken by Apple.

Just 2 years after joining the top 15 list, Apple became the world top brand and have stayed there for the last 5 years.

In 2018, only 1 out of the top 5 is not a hi tech company.

Technology now rules the world economy.

Tech companies account for 60% of the list

The rest are only

1 brand doing entertainment.

2 brands in food & beverage industry.

3 motor vehicle manufacturers.

The list is conducted by Interbrand. Brand value of each company is carefully valuated base on 3 criteria:

☑ Financial Forecast

This measures the overall financial return to an organization’s investors, or its economic profit.

☑ Role of Brand

This measures the portion of the purchase decision attributable to the brand as opposed to other factors (for example, purchase drivers such as price, convenience, or product features).

☑ Brand Strength

Brand Strength measures the ability of the brand to create loyalty and, therefore, sustainable demand and profit into the future
